“I decided to use a PT to loose weight, get fit and improve health. I suppose when you hear ‘personal trainer’ you can have a perception of the drill sergeant type from the TV shows screaming for one last rep! With that impression, I suppose I would’ve had reservations, both my ability to keep up and my staying power. However, I knew I needed assistance with routine, structure and motivation which I hoped a personal trainer would provide.
I realize now that personal training is much more tailored than I had expected. I never expected the the ease at which my ability matched the increases in workout intensity. I lost a perception that I wouldn’t be able for it or I would slip back to old habits. I started to see it as a lifestyle change rather than just a means to loose weight.
I found Sharon’s approach truly tailored, always challenging but never beyond my ability. With my job on the road, the food advise was excellent in allowing my to make the best possible choices on the fly. I never really expected the results I got, they far outweighed my expectations. And furthermore, I feel I have the skills to continue to set manageable goals and improve further. I feel I’ve learned the skills to properly take control of my health and fitness. “I was very overweight and had no energy and I wanted to lose weight and tone up. I thought that personal training would be very challenging as it was pretty much 1 on 1 training. The difference I thought beforehand was that you can sign up to a gym programme, go in but do the minimum amount of work and no-one was the wiser. However, with a personal trainer I was nervous as there would be no ‘slacking off’ when things were getting tough!
My perception has completely changed as I felt I was pushed enough for me to get results but not too much so that I dreaded going in. I was always welcomed by my name when I arrived. I was asked how I was feeling. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere made it easier for me to do my workout. Also, the fact that when it was time for assessments if I was not losing/going in right direction then we sat down and went through what changes were needed.
I really didn’t believe I could ever get down to the weight that I finally achieved. I was over the moon as I was now fitting into clothes that I hadn’t worn in over 6 years! I felt so much better about myself and loved all the compliments that I was receiving from friends/family. To be honest changing my eating habits was the key and as you stated it was about everything in moderation once I achieved my goal. I didn’t mind too much the eating plans during my time as I was really focused on achieving my goal.

The best advice really every Monday was ‘get your butt back in gear’ as this helped reign me back in after the weekend. If I had events coming up I wasn’t feeling guilty for overindulging I just enjoyed myself and got right back into it once Monday came.

I had some sort of Sergeant Major scenario going on in my head with someone standing over me with one foot on my back, shouting at me to go faster.

“The main reason why I choose SK Fitness was to lose weight, increase my fitness levels and adopt a healthy eating lifestyle. I thought I would never be good enough for a personal trainer. “I lacked the motivation on my own, to lose weight and get fit. Had tried slimming clubs and regular gyms and then spotted SK fitness advert.
To be honest I thought Personal trainer = fitness fanatic wasn’t sure if personal trainer was for someone like me – overweight and unfit. Thought personal trainer was for people aiming to get fitter and who didn’t have a weight issue.
SK Fitness program is aimed for all fitness levels and for losing weight as well. Sharon definitely put ‘Personal’ into Personal trainer, You know my routine/strengths weaknesses. You tailor and change the program to suit my needs.
I Did not expect the results so quick. Before program I was concerned with losing weight, put on on your program I realized that toning up and losing inches is just as important. This has helped me focus on the program as the weeks I don’t lose weight I don’t feel as dejected as I would have in the beginning. “I knew I needed the extra “help” and I felt that a one on one basis would help me achieve my goal.
?I had no real perceived notions but I expected it to be basically what it turned out to be, i.e. one on one contact with my trainer and a more specialized, personalized programme.
The encouragement and positive help is what I liked most about working with Sharon. She never made me feel like I was a lost cause but ?you also never let me slack!?
I would have liked to have lost a bit more weight but that was my own fault, not Sharon’s. Having said that, I was thrilled with the results and I was very proud of how I looked the night of my 50th birthday.

“I felt I just wasn’t getting any results on my own and wanted to try something that I felt had guaranteed results. I thought personal trainers were expensive and quite “gym” like, not really for “regular” people!
I feel that everyone can benefit from such programs and the cost is not really expensive when you see what you are getting and the results that you want.
It was a very comfortable environment and Sharon was very friendly and made me feel at ease, I felt like She wanted me to succeed and that made me want to work harder. The results were the results I wanted, I wasn’t really sure at first if I would get there, but once I got started it was what I expected.
I had joined a gym before and really didn’t like it so I was a bit hesitant that it would feel similar but it didn’t at all. I was also hesitant that I might fail, so didn’t tell anyone I was there for a couple of weeks!
I now have the knowledge behind me to know how to eat and exercise well. It’s more of a life lesson than a quick fix. I’m much happier in myself being more confident now. I would recommend personal training and Sharon. I feel that everyone could benefit from it and get the results they are looking for if they put the effort in.
I had tried many diets over the years and went up and down a half a stone quite regularly. I was never happy with my size after having two babies close together and found it difficult to get clothes to fit. I decided that if I couldn’t do it on my own one more time I would get help. I never liked the gym, but a lady I knew had gone to Sharon and got fantastic results so I gave Sharon a call and met for a consultation. Straight away I felt this was something that I could benefit from and signed up for the 12 weeks. The results were almost instant. I had been eating the wrong foods but also the right foods at the wrong time etc. It was a total mind overhaul on food, yet still all nutritious food that is also tasty. The training is only 3 times a week for 30 minutes and yet so effective. Combined with the weight loss I can see real shape and definition coming into my shoulders and arms and legs.
I lost 2 stone and 31 inches and gained so much confidence and a new wardrobe (or the ability to get back into my old wardrobe at least!) I lost a lot of inches from my top half which was my problem area and I was never quite able to shift that weight in the past. I am so happy that I decided to do it, it was worth every penny and I would recommend Sharon to anyone! 12 weeks only equals 18 hours of training, not even a day of my life and yet life changing. I’m so much happier in myself now and I won’t be going back to my old bad habits now that I’ve educated myself on healthy living. It’s more of a lifestyle change than a quick fix and that’s what I really needed.”

“I had come to a point where I was overweight, unhealthy and unhappy. I had tried a personal trainer a year before in a gym and I hated it. The training took too long and it wasn’t motivating or enjoyable. I ended the sessions after about a month.
I wasn’t really sure what to expect after my first experience. I was a bit hesitant but needed a change. My working with Sharon changed everything. She was amazing and really took interest in me and pushed me to meet and exceed my potential.
I could relax and still know I was going to get an excellent training session, we grew to know what to expect from each other and I was very comfortable with Sharon. I knew I could ask questions and they would be answered.
